Dr Christopher Hopwood is a dedicated and Highly Experienced General Practitioner. He began his medical journey with training in Australia. Following his qualification, he gained experience working overseas in the UK and various regions of Africa. Upon his return to Australia, Dr Hopwood dedicated his expertise to rural and regional general medical practice, including in regional New South Wales and more recently Launceston, where he spent the last 9 years. Throughout his career, Christopher found satisfaction in mentoring and teaching medical students, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Chris is a specialist GP, holder of a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). His areas of interest include Geriatrics, Chronic Disease Management, such as the Management of Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, etc.
